Sorting your Waste
Do you know how to sort your household waste or what you can dispose of at our recycling stations?
Your waste must be sorted into ten types:
- Plastics
- Beverage & food cartons
- Glass
- Metal
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Texile waste
- Food waste
- Residual waste
- Hazardous waste.
We need to sort more and burn less waste to help save the planet’s resources. We all have a responsibility to sort our waste so we can recycle as much as possible. In that way, there will be less need to extract new raw materials.
How often do we collect your waste? Use the waste app ‘Affald Horsens’
For information about when we empty your bins, download our waste app ‘Affald Horsens’ and enter your address.
The app can also help you sort your waste; use the barcode scanner or search function (Danish).
The sorting guide
Our guide gives many examples on how to sort your waste, information about the distribution and use of green and red bags, access requirements for your bins and more.
